His Thai name, Yod Doi is northern Thai for "top of the mountain."
2002-03: arrived 2002-03 as orphan, came from karen owner in Huay Pak Kood

Something happend with his tusks?

ENP writes on their Facebook: "he broke off his tushes so many times in wrestling sessions with bigger eles that the nerves died and they don't grow any more..”"

Hope knows no fear and his energy is boundless. He bounces around the park teasing other elephants and causing much amusement to the visitors and staff alike. He is often pushed away by the females who fear his uninvited attention causing them to become very protective of the babies within their family group

It seems Hopes lack of fear and his energy went OVER the "top of the mountain."?

Contradictory records:

Appearently, after attacking someone, he was secretly removed from the ENP camp and sold. It is believed that he is not longer living: Hope is dead.

I was reading through your website and came across incorrect information that you need to update. Hope ( Yod Doi) is healthy, happy and very much alive. I had the pleasure of spending time with him last month.
As for his tusks, he never had any.
