After being purchased by Circus Vargas, Talli's name was changed to Minnie.

In 1995, Minnie, Lottie, Gypsy and Sue were sold to the Hawthorn Corporation from Circus Vargas.

As a result of USDA prosecutions against the Hawthorn Corporation for violations of the Animal Welfare Act for inadequate care and mistreatment of its elephants, Minnie was sent to The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee, the first of eight owned by John Cuneo.
