Robin and Petunia, following a short time at importation locations, spent 23 years together at the Knoxville Zoo before being sold together to Disney's Animal Kingdom in February 1998 because they were not breeding candidates. The elephants would spend another 9.5 years together before being exchanged together with the Riverbanks Zoo for a younger and breedable female, Tumpe - a 37 & 34 year old for a 24 year old captive born. Tumpe died in March 2009 of gastrointestinal issues.
