Being in a star family, the pachyderm Kannan has proved that he is a versatile actor by himself. He has acted in 33 films including Tamil movies. Recently the elephant acted with Mammooty and Nayanthara in Rapakal, which was a box-office hit. V Gopakumar, an elephant lover and a close friend of Jayaram, describes Kannan’s role in the film as a full-length character role that had a lot of importance in the movie.

Kannan died recently due to ailment. The elephant was ailing for some time and was under treatment.
