With the help of the owner of Kamala's Circus, Chipperfield toured outlying villages to find elephants and bargain for purchases. First elephant was purchased and named Kamala in respect. Mary and 5 year old Dahlia purchased next. Dahlia was still being trained by Mary, chained to her while working on a rubber plantation. Total purchases ended with seven medium-sized cows and a small cow named Sally.

Sally identified by a large bump in the middle of her forehead, considered extremely lucky. She became very sickly when first arriving in England, not eating and wasting way. Eventually recovered, becoming "smallest of the herd, the cheekiest and extremely jealous by nature."

1980-?: Sally and Lilia died from the result of a fire they had on the circus in 1979. They didn’t die the year it happened, but I think the year afterwards.Jim Clubb, UK
