I worked for thr Chipperfields during the construction of Longleate. Their son Richard and I were best friends. I went on to work in many countries, ended my work at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Nj..Sure do miss the animals and friends worldwide...Cheers

Brad 2009-12-15 Delaware, USAMy grandfather used to take me to the Erie Zoo before he died in September 1950. Eva the elephant was there at that time. None of the information on the site fit with my experience. Ringling Eva did not arrive there until later and no other elephant fits that time frame. Can you explain this?
