Corcaita Cristiani, a ballerina for the Cristiani Brothers equestrian act, married David Budd, and in the first year of their marriage, David’s job was selling popcorn for the Cristiani Circus. The couple’s goal was to save enough money to move to New York, which they did in 1954.
