Robert Edward Ringling , circus director in United States

Born 1897-08-16 in United States dead 1950-01-03 , son of director Charles Ringling and owner Edith Ringling .

Opera Singer. He made his Chicago debut as "Tonio" in "Pagliacci." Best known in Wagnerian parts, he had a repertoire of 104 roles. He was also the president of the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
