Comments / pictures

2021: On July 8, an elephant named Dulumoni allegedly killed the boy in the Bokakhat area of Golaghat. Following public outrage, the police registered a case under Section 304A (causing death by negligence) of the Indian Penal Code.

According to PTI, the female elephant and her calf belong to Jiten Gogoi, a two-time former MLA from Bokakhat.
