Vatsala was born wild <1970 at Nilambur reserve forest.

2018: Claim: Dr Sanjiv Gupta from PTR said he is taking care the elephant for past 15 years and he guessed the age of elephant from her Teeth. ...Based on her Teeth status, Dr Gupta claimed that she is about 95 years of age and oldest elephant of world.

Vatsala was born in jungles of Kerala and rescued from Nilambuj forest area...The elephant was brought from South India and now Keralas Nilambuj Forest Circle...In year 1971, elephant was brought to Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh and then in year 1993 she was relocated to Panna Tiger Reserve
