The 1979-1980 (Taronga) Annual Report lists 0.1 Asiatic Elephant death, and a paragraph elsewhere in the report states "We also had to euthanise two of our well-known inhabitants - Sarina the female Asiatic Elephant at approximately forty-seven years of age, and Simba, the twenty-year-old Asiatic lion."
