Sabu (Sabi) was born wild .

Sabu was sold from Circus Pinder to Frejus, and then she was transfered to different zoos and circuses in Italy, during which time she killed in the zoo two persons. By circus Liana Orfei she attacked an elephant keeper who is bound to wheel chair. After this people were afraid of her, and she was presented to Josef Gärtner when he came back from Sweden in 1979.
1982: Killed Chiara Gärtner 1982.
1996: Killed Josef Gärtner 1996 in Carpentras
