2011: The elephant belonging to the Perur Arulmigu Patteeswara Swamy Udanamar Pachainayaki Amman Temple, Kalyani (20), left for a 48-day rejuvenation camp at the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in the Nilgiris district early on Tuesday. It will be a homecoming for Kalyani who was born in 1991 at Mudumalai. She came to Perur in 1996 at the age of five.
