Comments / pictures

Translocated in 1950 from Basel to Frankfurt Zoo where she died a few hours after arrival due to myoglobinuria. Matadi had arrived in 1932 from Halle Zoo. At arrival she stood about 1.5 m tall and weighed 650 kg.
