Comments / picturesAnthony van Aken Sr., poulterer in Rotterdam, founded a menagerie in 1804. His sons Willem, Herman, Anthony Jr. and Cornelis shared his interests. His daughter Cornelia married Henry Martin (q.v.), who bought the menageries of Herman and Anthony Jr.
