In the indigenous Kuy language, Prey Lang means “Our Forest.”

Prey Long forest spans 3600 square kilometres and four provinces, and is the largest lowland evergreen forest in Cambodia, and probably in southeast Asia.

There is also a small population (of elephants) (number unknown by generally thought to be less than 20) in Prey Long forest,
