Circus Arena Frank , Germany , was founded in 1911.


Comments / pictures1011 Founded by Georg Frank Sr and his wife Lucie.

With winter quarters in Hamburg, the circus was idle during WW1, and restarted after end of war.

After WW2 the circus could not return to Hamburg and was stucked in the Sovjet-Union zone. Frank with wife, their nine children and the elephant Sahib perfomed among other places in Pommern.

1947 Circus Frankello was founded, and by 1957 Frank followed his children to Circus Willy Hagenbeck in West-Germany, where his children had engagement.In 1958 the new Circus Frankello went on tour in Europe.
