  1. 2007-02-27: elephant keeper Mohd Hashim Ishak attacked by Setia. lunged at him from behind. Tusked in the chest and pinned down by his foot Mohd Hashim Ishak Survived. Mohd Hashim Ishak was subsequently warded at the Taiping hospital here for suspected fractures and internal injuries.

Comments / picturesTaiping Zoo (Malay: Zoo Taiping) is a zoological park located at the hill resort Bukit Larut, Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. Established in 1961, Taiping Zoo is the oldest zoo in Malaysia.

In 1991, the Wildlife Department of Malaysia, Perhilitan, captured three animals from a Herd rampaging around Sungai Siput, Perak and relocated them to the Taiping Zoo. Setia the bull, three years old at the time of capture, and two females, Jalung and Jaya.
