Bill Morris father, William Morris, was married to Bernice Kelly, daugher of Patrick Kelly from Kelly Brothers Circus, later Kelly-Morris Circus.

Together with his wife Cindy, Bill Morris ran an elephant act, The Elephant Encounter and owned a a famous Asian elephant, Cora. Charlotte, the Asian elephant in Smokey and the Bandit II, was portrayed by Cora. Cora was during the film rented from the owner Bill and Cindy Morris of Elephant Encounter.

Their son William Jr.and his wife works for Garden Brothers Circus.

2004: In 2004 two elephants were transferred to Montgomery Zoo.

2017-12-24: The last two elephants, Cora and Tembo, were transferred to Topeka Zoo 24th August, 2017.
