Arthur Feely used to be an elephant handler in the early 20th century. He has a grandson, Geoffrey Younger.

1915-03: Arthur Feely, elephant trainer and showman, from Bostock and Wombwell’s Gigantic Combination Menagerie has volunteered with the Royal Army Veterinary Corps.

1916: On the 11th October I was discharged from the Royal Army Medical Corps following my leg injury in France. I will return to Bostock’s & Wombells as soon as I can.
