George Brunn , circus director in United States

.

After the elephant Old Bet died, Hachaliah Bailey, undeterred, proceeded to import two more elephants. In 1817 he and two partners, brother-in-law Isaac Purdy and George Brunn, purchased an eleven year old female who came to be called Betty or Little Bet.

Dingess says a soap chandler named George Brunn was on board the ship bringing the animal in and that he advised Benjamin Lent of its arrival. Lent supposedly got with Bailey and the two of them purchased the elephant for $1,000.
