Frederick Ashton , circus director in Australia

Born 1866-09-28 in Australia dead 1941-02-17 in Australia , son of director James Ashton and director Elizabeth Critchley .

Only the family of the younger Ashton brother, Fred, carried on with circus.

He died on 17 February 1941 at Randwick, survived by his wife and ten children; he was buried in the Catholic section of Rookwood cemetery.

His descendants still carry on the family circus.
