Chawang (Lasah) is a living Male ♂ Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) , located at the Singapore Night Safari, in Singapore.

Contradictory records: The EEP states 'Lasah' was born in Malaysia in 1982. On 07 October 1991, he arrived at location 'Singapore' and on 07 October 1997 he was transferred to location 'Malay DW.' The Studbook also lists this elephant as Lost-to-Follow up, or a "documented animal whose current location is unknown." Lasah is only listed as sire to Sang Raja of the Koln Zoo. Chawang gored its zookeeper of 18 years, Gopal Krishnan, in 2001. The injuries were severe, but Krishnan recuperated. Chawangs sperm quality was tested in 2007 and counted good, see News Article
