Random Literature
The European Elephant Keeper and Manager Association is an inactive organization which was established in 1997 to:
  • create a platform for elephant keepers and to represent their interests
  • develop Europe-specific elephant management concepts, to improve reproductive efforts
  • support training programs and continued education for elephant keepers
  • promote the need for Species preservation through research
  • be active in the field of public education

EEKMA published a quarterly newsletter: ELEPHANT JOURNAL that appears in both German and English language versions, and brings members elephant articles and photos from around Europe. First-hand accounts of ongoing studies, notices of meetings and workshops, and news from various elephant facilities.
