Serendib Elephant Project, in Mokolodi Nature Reserve, Botswana , was founded in 1990 and the first elephant arrived in 1990.

2008-04-11: Two mahouts from Sri Lanka, Chandan Alahakoon (38) and Piyal Pedige (35), were killed by the elephants.
