Owners: A circus was founded at Frederiksplein in 1874 by Wilhelm Carré and his wife Cornelia Adriana de Gast, which was later owned by their son Oscar Carré, who 1887 founded Koninklijk Nederlandsch Circus Oscar Carré. Oscar Carré died 1911 on tour in Copenhagen.
