2023-02-24: It is reported that one of the four elephants from the Mungiakami elephant camp under Teliamura subdivision under the Tripura State Forest Department attacked the mouth of a male elephant named Kishore, broke the chain and the elephant escaped into the vast forest of Atharomura hills. Moreover, the camp was also accused of not providing enough food to the elephants in the past. Currently, there is intense fear in the concerned area.
