1987: Ginny slapped a female keeper with her trunk
1992-12-16: Ginny slapped the keeper Jubal Cox, 29, with her trunk, which she then used to scoop him up and throw him to the ground. Cox received severe head injuries; he was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center, where he died a few hours later.

In December 1992, a keeper was leading Ginny, Lucky and Alport to the elephant exhibit when Ginny attacked and killed the man. The elephant program made the transition to protected contact.
