Comments / pictures

The Jerusalem Zoos Abigail died on Friday, 07/31/2009. She went into labour earlier in the week but the calf died before birth. Some parts of the calf were surgically removed by veterinarians from Jerusalem, Berlin and Rotterdam on 07/28. Sex of the calf is unknown as only the head and one leg could be removed during surgery.

The naturally conceived calf was the first for both parents.
