The European Elephant Group is a Group of people that has collected data about elephants in Europe and America, published in five books, some of them are still available to obtain, and also in regulairy published seasonal documentations.

The books and seasonal documentations all have good value, and contains a lot of information.

During the 90s EEGs objective and unbiased perspective on elephant welfare may have been reduced, and EEG is today rather on the critical side against Free-contact care of elephants in captivity, and may eventually be categorized as an Animal Rights Activist Group.

Still, their documentions are very detailed, and mostly give unbiased information.

Their daughter organisation ELEFANTEN-SCHUTZ EUROPA e.V. is open for membership applications.
