Amarapura (Pali: City of Immortality) was the capital of Myanmar for three discrete periods during the Konbaung dynasty in the 18th and 19th centuries, and is now a township of Mandalay.


In Amarapura was also the Palace of the white elephant, and a Kraal for captured elephants.
