Comments / pictures2018: Officials have stepped up efforts to ferry 15 elephants from the forests of Karnataka and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for better monitoring and deep patrolling in the Valmikinagar Tiger Reserve forests.

The forest worker will be able to monitor the forests and wild life better by riding on the elephants . At present , there is only one elephant in the forest of VTR , which has kept in Madanpur forest area.
