The second son, Edward (Teddy) Fossett (1927–98) was born 17 November 1927 in Augher, Co. Tyrone. Known throughout his life as ‘Teddy’, he was educated at New Ross CBS and joined the circus immediately afterwards. It consumed his life, as animal trainer, presenter, director, and joint owner with his brothers from 1951.

1946: Mona Fossett Powell died young on the 7th June 1946 aged only 41.
1951: Edward Fosset passed away five years later on Sep 7th 1951 aged 53. It made Bobby Fossett, Teddy Fossett and Johnny Fossett the youngest circus proprietors in the world as they took over the running of the show and they were only in their 20’s.
1952: an important year for Teddy when a young circus artiste came as top of the bill, her name Herta Pohorsky (Bhorsky), part of the three Lordini Perch Act.
1952: Teddy and Herta married in 1953, their children were Edward Fosset Jr., Robert Fosset, Marion Fosset, Angela Fosset, and Mona Fosset.
1956: Elephants Jimmy, Blackie and Monica (two males and a female)were sold to Fossett's Circus in Ireland. Teddy Fossett presented them and later his wife Herta Fossett or her father Otto Lordini. They were later sold to Russia. Jimmy and Blackie, and one female elephant called Monica was sold to Russia.
