Brought from West Germany in 1976, Jambi gave birth to a male calf in 1994. In 2003, she was attacked by the calf's sire Timbo and fell into the exhibit's dry moat. Taking an injury to the lumbar region, she later developed arthritis, both contributing to her death. Records about Jambi was updated
