2007-07-22: Europes oldest elephant bull, Pak Bahadýr is dead

Pak Bahadur was considered the oldest living male elephant in Europe.

He was born in Pakistan in 1948, and he was later offered as a gift by the Pakistani government to the zoo in Izmir.

Pak Bahadur was kept as a single elephant until the arrival of Begumcan from India in 1998.
