† Shona is a dead Female ♀ African savanna elephant, (Loxodonta africana), who died at Boras Zoo, in Sweden, of euthanised in 2004-12-08. Official death reason described as Positive Elephant Elephant TB (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) (Mycobacterium tuberculosis) trunk-wash test. (see detailed list).

Comments / pictures

2004: TBC positive with trunktest. Euthanized. Post mortem autopsy showed massive pulmonary TB on post-mortem.
