Khem Kepal , Brau camp mahout in Cambodia Born 1982 , son of mahout Bach Kepal and wife Oy Koel . Khem has 3 children, 1 son and two daughters. Kehem Kepal is his younger brother, who also work as Mahout for Airavata Foundation in Ratanakiri, Cambodia. Khem worked with the Asian elephant bull Kamsen from the age of 15, and he previously owned the elephants Ikoum, Itou, Itao, Kamplah and Iplah who is now in Siem Reap. He enjoys drinking with his friends, working, fishing and gathering food in the forest.
