1991: Alice probably killed Pamela C. Orsi during a fight with Cha Cha, another elephant. The Albuquerque Zoo’s thirty seven year old female Asian elephant Alice was diagnosed with Tuberculosis via both a blood test and Trunk wash. She began the year-long treatment for the disease in February 2011. She will remain with the rest of the Herd for the duration.
