They traveled with the circus from Germany to the Scandinavian countries, to France, Belgium and the Netherlands. 1919: Adolf Strassburger Sr. died. Adolfs son, Karl Strassburger, took over the circus and married his cousin, Regina Strassburger, daughter to Adolfs brother Leopold Strassburger, and together with Reginas sister Elly Strassburger and Karls brother Hans Strassburger they brought the circus into one of the largest in Europe, travelling in two units.
